Welcome to Grizz Talk
Posted Jun 4th, 2008

All of you have seen and listened to the talking heads on TV. Most of them are very intellectual people. The one item they all are simply lacking is experience in what they are discussing.

So what is Grizz Talk? Well I have a little experience with several things that I would like to share.

As an introduction, I’m Morry Taylor, also known as the Grizz. I’m a journey tool and die apprentice, a certified welder, and a mechanical engineer (BSME Michigan Tech). I also ran for the Republican nomination for President in 1996 using my money, not yours or the governments. Currently I am Chairman and CEO of Titan International, Inc., a specialty tire and wheel manufacturer for the agriculture and mining industries.

Titan is a public company listed on the New York Stock Exchange (TWI). We have over 3,000 great American employees who we believe have the same view as the majority of Americans and we want to start a movement for Americans today to wake up the politicians.

Three senators are running for President. They are all fine intelligent people, but let’s be serious -- is that the best we can find in America? Look at the topics Americans are concerned with:
1. Economy
2. Education
3. Security/military
4. Healthcare
5. Government/taxes
After the above five items, there are just too many items to get worked up over.

Have you ever noticed how everyone has a view, but how many politicians tell you how to solve the problems? They can’t because they don’t know how so their answer is to study it. Once that has been done, they want a committee appointed to find a solution which means no solution, only meetings.

At this site we are going to take each subject, talk about it, and suggest solutions.

We are also going to put some of these ideas on YouTube – the new way to be heard.

The Grizz will be online every Tuesday at 2 p.m. ET starting on July 1, 2008 (check back for details). The first subject will be the economy.

Great to contact you Morry! Currently I am a real estate appraiser in New Hampshire. The real estate bubble was pumped-up by no-fault mortgage brokers and appraisers inflating values. At this point I find the business to be very slow coupled with unfavorable federal changes in 09' for the appraisal business. Since I had minded my ethics during the boom years, I felt that I suffered for not inflating values and doing things correctly. Where is the opportunity in the next up-tick for the real estate market? What would you do if you where in my shoes? I have some money to invest but I feel like a bit of a cynic since I have realized the power of curruption and Wall Street creating such as mess with mortgage backed securities. I need to become excited again with the ideas of free enterprise, small business, and my roll as a risk taker. Where do I go to make my first million on the new frontier in a changing America?

I liked Morry's U-Tube admonition to "Buy American." Apparently, so do the Arabs and Chinese, who are propping up the U.S. government and economy by doing so. That happens when the dollar's weak. It takes fewer foreign dollars to buy American homes and businesses and industries. That's why Morry's selling a ton of tires and wheels overseas. . .probably why he's not bullish for a stronger dollar.

Morry- Thank you for the full page ad in today's (10/23/08) USA Today. We need so much more of those ads. Every paper in every town. Maybe some people will wake up and see the bad rep and negative attitude toward our President has been driven by the MEDIA (both print and tv or electronic). Again thanks and keep up the good work.

Hey Grizz! Thank you for "Wake Up America" page on USA Today 10-23-08. How could leftist liberals care about their country when they vote for Obama? He is frightening! Obama's father was described in the London Times as a "mediocre bureaucrat in Kenya." Maybe Obama is trying to live up to this image. You brought up many valid points on your page that Americans need to be thinking about before they vote. Keep up the good work!

My company is the mining business. We supply remanufactured mining equipment and major components. We are based in Conroe, Texas, and we can proudly say that it is a previlege having The Grizz as a supplier for the industry. We also are "under dogs" in a world dominated by the "big OEM dogs", but through hard work and quality products we continue fighting our fight...., one customer at a time. We wish Titan the best for the future!!!

Hey Morry, Glad your back giving the country some of your wisdom. Your Ideas would do wonders to bring our nation some sanity. I've always liked you even though your were real rough on me, I actually learned much from you. By the way did you know you did better than Bob Dole the first time he ran in the NH primary. Keep it up Morry, God Bless You and Your Family Bob Ouellette; former NH State Representative, now living in Jacksonville Florida
